Detroit Spartans-Greening of Detroit

Project Description

Detroit was originally designed with tree-lined streets. Unfortunately, Detroit has lost almost 500,000 trees on public and private property since the 1950s. The restoration of a tree canopy along our streets, in our parks, outside our schools, and in open spaces is the key objective of The Greening of Detroit. Volunteers will plant trees in the community for this service project.
