Meridian Township Environmental Stewardship Day

Project Description

Help Meridian Township fight invasive species! We will be working to eradicate Autumn Olive and Garlic Mustard on one of our beautiful Land Preserves, Davis Foster. These invasive species are threatening to invade our restored, native grassland on the property. Volunteers will use hand tools to cut the woody invasive species and younger volunteers can pull Garlic Mustard by hand. We will first concentrate in an easily accessible, open area and will then move back into the forest. **Please note: -There are no restrooms on site -You do not need to stay for the whole project
